SmokPoint Airflow Indicator

SmokPoint airflow indicator (previously known as the Dragon Puffer) is a safe and convenient method of producing a non-toxic smoke / fog / vapour which can be used to trace airflows, draughts and leakages.  Unrestricted it produces a broad plume of vapour; accessories are provided to deliver narrow and fine vapour flows. 

SmokPoint airflow indicator delivers a non-toxic fog, smoke or vapour and is commonly used to test for airflow, draughts and leakages e.g. energy audits and ventilation hood testing. Unrestricted it produces a broad plume of vapour which can be better targeted with the addition of a narrowing adapter and additionally, a hand-held ‘bulb’ (see video).

The Fog Fluid is non-toxic, containing Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, and Distilled Water

The SmokPoint Airflow Indicator Kit, delivered in a zipped case, comprises the SmokPoint generator unit, the narrow adapter and the hand-held ‘bulb’ along with a 3 ounce (circa 90 ml) bottle of the Fog Fluid, six AA batteries, a Screwdriver, Operating Instructions and a Materials Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). 

In use, the Fog Fluid condenses within the unit, so a high percentage can be recovered into the Fluid Bottle for re-use. Replacement Fog Fluid bottles can be found under the Accessories/Related tab on this page

Feedback from users highlight the convenience of the device, notably its size (ease of storage and use) and the freedom it offers by not requiring external power. Most acknowledge the limited 'smoke' it produces but few cite this as a hindrance. The manufacturer suggest up to fifty energy audits on a typical mid-sized residential property are possible from the 3 ounce fluid bottle.
